Los Robles Golf Couse, City of Thousand Oaks, CA.

The Los Robles Golf Course, built in the 1960’s, is an 18-hole course located in an Oak-studded valley, serving a large variety of golfers, handling over 100,000 rounds of golf per year.  There is interesting topographical variety on several holes; many are lined with the picturesque oak trees from which the City and golf course take their names.  Operated too long without adequate renovation, this very popular course  had reached a condition where a major remodeling effort was in order.

HALSEY DARAY GOLF, lead designer and project manager, was responsible for site planning, golf course design, public presentations, and grading and water features design.  Halsey Daray Golf prepared both the Master Plan, and the Construction Documents.  With a well considered program of improvements, the stated goal of the Ten-Year Master Plan to “ensure that the golf course retain its attractiveness and viability into the next century” will be assured.

The Master Plan included:

• new irrigation system                             • new driving range

• pump station and lake storage                • new clubhouse

• hole realignments                                   • expanded parking

• signature finishing hole                           • upgraded storm

• remodeling of bunkers,                           • drainage system

and all greens and tees                           • new utilities.

• new cart paths
