Nellis AFB had an existing 18-hole golf course in need of renovation, and the player demand for an additional 18 holes. Halsey Daray Golf, as prime consultant, managed the Project Consultant  Team, designing two new full-length nines, and realigning six holes on the existing course to improve circulation and operation.  New irrigation was installed on all 36 holes, and new cart barn, starter, restrooms, driving range, bridges, lakes and storm drainage system constructed.  Additional environmental constraints included an existing flood control channel which had to be accommodated in the master plan, and one of the new  nine holes was on a land fill area, including large amounts of concrete debris and hazardous waste.  The construction budget was $7.2 million, and Phase One was $3.8 million. Both phases have been constructed on budget and the golf course is in full operation.
